Updated Time

Well, I when to the George pub last night with Shiz, Anton and the guys. It was a nicely set-up trendy bar for those of you that have not yet been in it.
This is ofcourse my first blog since the Rangers 'final award', although I can't help but think it is not our last. The worse thing was that for a large chunk of the season I have been out with a serious injury. It was heart breaking for me to sit out the games and watch as the side played. It was equally, if not more so, seeing Mark and Anton run out in the final game when I was on the sidelines. In hindsight I would have liked to play but with no training since the 5th May I would have probably been less than my best. I suppose in a way I am glad the team remembers my skills at their peak and not at the all time low that would have been on display that night. Shiz didn't do so bad those for what I saw of the incident, I have to say that whilst poor the cinematography was the only knowleadge I have of the event as I was busy swifty moving towards the bar whilst things cooled down.
Anyway, I have a new job which begins on the 2nd July and there is the holiday to Spain with the team + Wags. It is a shame that Mini can not be there with us as we challenge for battle of the buff, allas I am a shadow of my former self. However, even if i was fully ripped Mini would still win.
Football news I spoke to Burnage this morning about 5th 12th 19th and 26th July Thursday availability and I will be posting a blog after 6pm today to collect names.

Player of the Season was the P-Man

Once again an incorrect decision was made for the Award of Player of the season. The incorrect decision was due primarily to those whom have no real knowledge of the game and those who have purposefully voted against a clear front runner. My voting, being honest, has always gone to Mini. This time however I voted for a different candidate.
I find those individual whom have the honour of voting in the Award shameful when a clear winner of this award is over looked purely on the ground of popularity. Its not my fault that I share a greater understanding of the beutiful game like Mini, I just do. It's not may fault that I have an equal skill level as Mini, I just do. It seems to me that a large amount of jealousy is involved here and this ruins the event for everyone.
By law of averages I should have won this award but I haven''t. Only John and Myself have never officially won it, how insulting. I have been golden boot winner and silver boot winner in all seasons bar that. This does not make sense unless a clear basis in some voting is being shown. I will be Player of the Season and I will sit back and lord it over everyone when I receive the Award and accept it on behalf of myself for all the P of S Awards l should have had. I kind of Life time achievement...you know. Good Luck Oli, don't drop the soap.

Bramhall Rangers Vs Anthony Wilde

Good day from a new location for the match report of the last and most unsignificant game of the season.
The reason for the switch is that according to the blogger the location for the Ranger's blog has moved so there is it I will ensure I get the information for next time.

But on to the match, I don't feel like writting a lot. I got Power league's final score on the match and they recorded the result at 8-2. Interesting that Mini score 2 and John scored 1 but I suppose it say more about the ref's character than it does about his numerousiiiiiii.

Still the match was wet and wilde in the oppositions challenges. It was not a high scoring game as their team was more interested in looking skillful and not at passing the ball. Their players were not skillful as this points was supported when, on the side lines, Shiz was speeking to Cheadle United who said 'I don't know why he thinks he's good he's crap, he's got nothing going for him, in his 20's and going balled.' It was at that point I thought was he talking about Wilde or me.

John want flying into the board as he was pushed purposefully at high speed. This said it all about the match which was ok in the first half but in the second it was like a stop/start game with every 3 mins the play would stop. Mini's words with the ref after Wilde want to ground led him to be sin bin, however, 1 min later the ref call Mini back on because, 'I thought you were someone else.' I'd heard of ref's correcting decisions but after all the talking between the 2 men I find it hard to believe he did not recognize the Mini man after he had so many words with him moments before.

In conclusion, I have probably missed a chunk out, for that I appologise. The good news from the match is that we battle hard and we kept the score low. Also, Wilde will be promoted so we will not play them next season. I was pleased with Many performances and while no one was given the rythem to have a good game I think that Nev has played well all season and far and away beond his current level of skills. He thinks and I have seen him numerous times create the space he needs even under pressure.

Remember, the Player of the Season award is coming up and I think I will be winning it again, don't you.

Bramhall Ranger 5 Omatha 9

Good Morning gentleman, this report is the first to be broadcasted from my own blog. Welcome, its a first I know but I did try to log on to the Rangers site last night but the old gremlins arose. The belch family.co.uk and a blank sheet confronted me so I used my best judgement.

The game started with a quick goal from Omatha which was not the best start for a game that kicked off at 9.30pm, was cold and wet. A second goal follow and then we began to shore things up at the back and Mini score our opener.

The game continued for a long time with the team defending well at keeping it at 2-1. The errors were made in conseeding goals at the back, many were mine and when they happen I always feel gutted especially when I've made more problems for other people. I must say that the players I noticed for their effort and improvement going forward were Nev and Shiz. Nev was getting forward through the centre a lot more than his average game and he seemed to be able to control the ball better. Shiz right from the off made a darting run from Belch's throw out past two players and into the opposition corner. You battled well and managed to partner Mini for a period in the game when Peter and Mini were off the pitch.

Mark played with more skill, I little less pace than average but he made up for it with more control and positional play. He seems to not rush the passes as much. I don't know what you did to the guy on the corner but it looked to everyone like you'd punched or elbowed him in the face. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all that but well done Mark you can show me what you did on Sunday afternoon. This was ofcourse revenage for the foul on you in the first half, thrown to the ground by that Mat (Henri) guy you faked a back injury to get one of theirs sent off and then lauched in to the next Omatha you could find.. shameful.

John, I don't really know what to say but what a string of goals you seem to be massing lately, I know we've been starved of your scoring ways but 2 in one game I'm begining to wet myself. But in a good way. I'd rather be sitting in a puddle of my own urine with a few wins to our names than soiling myself over which of us gets second spot in the golden boot.

Mini, I'm not always good at this kind of thing but I did pick up that fact that if we had a proper medical you might not have past it this week. You played supurb but I think I'm right in saying your ankles were giving you some trouble. Thanks for playing on. On a lighter note we wouldn't be were we are in the league without Mini and by that I mean goal difference.

Belch, get out field

Shiz, I've already mentioned you.

My own view is that I hope we do get a win soon as we are statistically due one very soon and I don't mean just against Cheadle. We have a good group of lads who if we play to are best we can push teams. This will not always happen in practice as players have good days and bad one. No one expects greatness just the willness to listen, learn and if nothing else work for each other. Trust is vital and that is were I feel I let people down. But on the plus side of things I felt in the second half i was stronger and I have to mention it, that little bit of positional and close ball control that avaded 3 players before I got the shot aways was the best bit of skill I have played in a long time.

I'm looking forward to next week however we play and my I say a thank you to Mini for the reports each week I do enjoy them on a Friday morning and I also agree we should take turns. Not just to give Mini a rest but because like I'm doing now it just gives us the chance to air our views and hopeful take some thought from it.

Happy New Year

Greeting to my happy readers. Yes it's been a while but I'm sure its all worth the wait. The year started great with an end of year trip to Cork which was fun, unfortunitely one of the crew had I little to much fun that spoiled it for the rest of us. Then there was about 21 Rangers matches and 1 award before the cream of the social calender was visited upon, I speak ofcourcse about MarkStock. What a time, 1. I beat Mark in a one-on-one, no ruless, full contact bout. The result is not inportant, that it why I mention it, but the fact that people took part. That punch to the old Taylor rib injury had people insensed and I read somewhere in the rule book that flour to the face is perfectly acceptable, as long as it is not done to me. In a way I was probably very luck Big Rick didn't floor me. This however brings me to next year, My plan, although its just a thought is to have MS 2007 'The big fight live' where by each willing figher can pick a number and when that number is called out they must join me in the octigon. The objective is to use up my energies so the more fighters the better. Then, all beaten up, it will be my time to face Big Rick in the ring for the ultimate challenge of my life. So the training starts. I will, like Shiz's blog keep everyone upto speed on my fitness. There may even be some photos too.

Gratitude

I would like to thank everyone whom came to the meal and the awards. It was a great evening and I would like to follow Mini by saying a very big thank you to Russ. The Rangers bands were a hit for me as all day Thursday I had my blue band on me, in the hope that I would give me positive powers and protect me from injury. It did protected me from injury. I know Belch will have similar sucess next time but for the record it was a well put together speech. I have to say that my behaviour post awards was uncalled for. I do believe that Belch was a great player last season but I so wanted it to be me. It will spur me on for this season and along with my soul mate Mini I know we can begin to strke up a good goal scoring partnership. The dangers I forsee are the improvements in the teams this time around. The teams seem to be stronger with new stronger players. I also have an apology to make to Shiz, although I told him at the time, it was my continued mistakes that forced Shiz to put himself into harms way. I will remember this for the future.
I read Russ' web page, most disheartening, it could have caused a right kafuffle. I can feel Russ' anger from here and I don't even have the force.

Rangers Awards Fiasco Pete date 0000.7

Dear Rangers, The result of Player of the Season puzzles me to say the least. Belchy who won the award seems to have missed half the season, while Mini whom has filled the goal keeping position has acheived a similar successful record. Mini's average in goal and outfield equal and exceeds, respectively, any stats in the team. That coupled with the injuries he has sustained leaves me thinking Mini's contribution was greater, whether marginally but still greater. My own input to the team seemed to be vertually ignored. My performances have delivered over double the goals of anyother player. The fact a complete neutral has highlighted my last weeks performance as being above and beyond anyother player on the day. I didn't even think i had a particularly good game either. At least I had the associations vote. Now the association is the group of players that have previously been voted player of the season, i.e. Shiz and Mini. On this basis I am pleased to have had the consideration from those players whom have a unique insight into the game of football. i.e. their good at what they do therefore they know what their talking about.
Let me be plain, When the time comes around again it will fill me with great pleasure to accept the Player award when I know it will pain most people to have to vote for me. Sweat.
